Coach Prince Yaw Owusu, hitherto the Assistant Coach at Asante Kotoko, has been introduced to the players as the interim coach of the club.
Coach Owusu is taking charge after the resignation of Abdul-Karim Zito on Monday, February 9.
He is expected to handle the crucial Matchday 22 clash against archrivals Hearts of Oak at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday.
Introducing Coach Owusu to the players at their training grounds Tuesday morning, Chairman of the Interim Management Committee Nana Apinkra Akwasi Away urged all to put the immediate past behind them.
“We can’t afford further excuses,” he stressed.
“It’s redemption time, and let’s leave the past behind and focus on what is ahead. We must redeem ourselves on Sunday.”
Coach Owusu will be assisted by Mohammed Hamza Obeng.
