The National Recreation and Wellness Program has partnered Parliamentary Training Institute (PTI) to promote recreation and wellness through a 3-day aerobics program at AQUA Safari in Ada..
The program, aptly called “Active Today, Healthier Tomorrow,” is a strategic national intervention program that focuses on promoting active living and preventive health with emphasizes on diabetes, hypertension, obesity and need lifestyle changes. Ghana’s initiatives include promoting exercise, healthy eating, reducing tobacco/alcohol, and regular check-ups.
Hon. Betty Krobsbi Mensah, National Coordinator for NaRWP, expressed her excitement to launch the programing the coming days, stating, “We’re excited to launch this strategic national intervention program to inspire you ti inculcate the habit of active living.
Wing Commander Frederick Rtd, Principal Marshal of the Parliament of Ghana, also shared his enthusiasm for the initiative.
“As a representative of Parliamentary service, I strongly believe in the importance of exercise and physical activity for a long and healthy life. This initiative is a game-changer, and I applaud the NaRWP crew for their tireless efforts in championing this great initiative.”
The 3-day aerobics program has seen a great turnout, with members of the Parliamentary Training Institute, NaRWP crew, and visitors from the hotels participating and enjoying the activities.
