Daniel Agyei has set his sights firmly on making an impact for Ghana, insisting he is ready to give everything after earning a maiden call-up to the Black Stars.

The 28-year-old Kocaelispor forward has been named in head coach Otto Addo’s 28-man squad for the upcoming international friendlies against Austria and Germany.

But beyond the honour of inclusion, Agyei has made it clear that his focus is on delivering maximum effort whenever he gets the chance.

“It’s a massive honour to be called up to the Ghana national team,” Agyei said. “As a player, you always do your best to represent your country at this level, and to finally get this opportunity means everything to me, and I’m ready to give my all for this year.”

The forward’s determination comes at a time when competition for places in the national team is intensifying. His inclusion reflects both form and consistency, having impressed in the Turkish league with his physical presence, work rate and attacking output.

Those qualities are expected to add a new dimension to Ghana’s frontline as preparations gather pace for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Agyei’s journey to the senior national team has been built on steady progress. Having previously featured for English sides AFC Wimbledon and Crewe Alexandra, the striker has developed resilience and adaptability that now position him as a valuable option for the Black Stars.

He is expected to join the Black Stars camp in Europe next week ahead of the clash with Austria on March 27 and Germany on March 30.
