Ghana U17 women’s team will face Liberia in the second round of the 2026 FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup qualifiers as they continue their bid to reach this year’s tournament in Morocco.

The Black Maidens return to the competition after a two-year suspension for age eligibility violations and have made an immediate impact with a dominant first-round performance.

Ghana progressed with an emphatic 8-0 aggregate victory over Togo, sealing qualification with a 6-0 win in the second leg at the Accra Sports Stadium after a 2-0 away triumph.

Liberia advanced to the next stage via a walkover against Libya.

The second-round tie is scheduled for May, with Ghana expected to host the first leg between May 22 and 24 before travelling for the return fixture between May 29 and 31.

Ghana will be aiming to maintain their strong form as they push for qualification to the U17 Women’s World Cup.
