YETS Ghana Sports Complex main construction commence

With initial phases completed, construction on the multipurpose YETS Ghana Sports Complex has commenced Basketballghana.com can confirm.

The facility when completed will serve as a haven for young people at Anwiankwanta- an hour drive from Ghana’s Ashanti regional capital Kumasi- and surrounding areas.

Earlier this year, Phase 1 and Phase 1A were completed; construction of the facility’s main walls and painting of the walls were undertaken during this phase.

Construction of the main facility is underway with the foundation set to have two basketball courts when the project is completed. The facility is being put up to serve as a basketball and life skills center for young individuals.

Aside the basketball courts, the complex is to have an ICT laboratory, dormitory, an auditorium, library, offices and classrooms with room for other facilities to be constructed.

YETS Ghana is a sub unit of Netherlands based YETS Foundation that uses sports and education in its after school programs to improve the lives of young people.

Former Opoku Ware School centre, Pius Asaki and St. Louis Senior High School guard, Sandra Dakorah are YETS Ghana products.
