Ghana forward Daniel-Kofi Kyereh bags brace to continue scoring run for St. Pauli

Ghana attacker Daniel-Kofi Kyereh scored for the third match in a row as his brace inspired St Pauli to victory in the German Bundesliga II.

His goals ensured that St Pauli beat Karlsruher 3-1 at Millerntor-Stadion on Saturday afternoon to remain in serious contention to achieve promotion.

Kyereh opened the scoring after 14 minutes of action and doubled the lead 10 minutes later before Simon Makienok made it three for St Pauli.

Karlsruher were better in the second half but could only score a consolation through Philipp Hofmann as St Pauli moved level on points with leaders Darmstadt FC.

Kyereh has been absolutely impressive since he rejoined the team after the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.

The German-born has recorded five goals in five games taking his season’s tally to 10 goals and further 11 assists.

His form is good news for the Black Stars ahead of the 2022 World Cup playoff against Nigeria.

The 25-year-old has proven that he can be very useful in the two crucial games this month and could start both.
