A former World Boxing Organisation (WBO) Africa junior middleweight champion, Patrick Allotey says he will make mince meat of Hamisi Maya of Tanzania when the two clash tomorrow evening at the Idrowhyt Events Centre at Dansoman in Accra.
“I am very prepared and ready for this fight and will finish him in the early rounds,” he stated.
The two will clash for the vacant WBO continental belt on the night which is expected to roar with seven additional bouts.
Allotey, 31, who has fought and won 41 times and lost four times in 45 professional fights tipped the scales at 150.5 pounds at the weigh-in this morning while his opponent, Maya, tipped the scales at 148.8 pounds.
Soft-spoken Maya told the media that he would do his talking in the ring and teach Allotey a bitter lesson which he will never forget.
“Everything will happen in the ring and I am going to show what I’m worth and how much I’m worth in the ring,” the Tanzanian stated.
Other fights on the night will see Emmanuel Quaye against Frank Dodzie in the West African Boxing Union (WABU) super welterweight championship, while Haruna Osumanu of Ghana clashes with John Martin Cyril of Nigeria for the WABU heavyweight title.
Emmanuel Sackey faces David Lamptey in a super featherweight contest with Faisal Abubakari facing Emmanuel Allotey in a super lightweight fray.
