a2a1Braimah “Bukom Banku” Kamoko has reversed his decision to boycott his fight against Ayittey Powers on December 26.
The undefeated WBO African Light Heavyweight, WBO African Cruiserweight and West Africa Boxing Union champion, Braimah Kamoko popularly known as Bukom Banku and Michael Okai also known as Ayitey Powers, have assured to give boxing loving fans an entertaining fight come December 26, 2015, at the Kumasi Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
The undefeated boxer had pulled out of the Boxing Day bout due to claims he was was ‘spiritually’ sick, and had a strategy to confuse his opponent, Ayitey Powers.

Picture 4The much-projected fight dubbed “A Night of Revenge/Repeat” is sponsored by Joy Industries Limited and organized by Land Mark Promotion.

The winner will walk away with a mouthwatering prize package of a Range Rover car and a trip to South Africa from Joy Industries Limited.

p6Both boxers are ready to give out their best amidst thrilling performances from award-winning artists including the dancehall king Shatta Wale, the Abodam singer Kwaw Kese, Sarkodie, D – Black, the king of the street Pope Skinny among others.
His decision instigated a disciplinary process from Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) which could have seen the controversial boxer handed a severe punishment including the revocation of his boxing license.
a8Sponsors of the Boxing Day bout slated for the Baba Yara Stadium, Joy Dadi Bitters, were also fretting over Banku’s decision especially with the huge sum of money already invested into promoting the fight.
These uncertainties were however put to bet by the Bukom-based fighter who says he will honour the fight even though he is still unwell.
“Joy Dadi people are my fathers so I am begging them I will fight.
“I am sick but when I no fight, the thing will spoil.
“So 26 December, Bukom Banku and Ayittey Powers we will fight.
a7“I want to tell Ghanaians that Bukom Banku I will fight, I will fight.” He declared.
Banku’s declaration now puts to bed all uncertainties surrounding the December 26 bout.
Sponsors, Joy Dadi Bitters will be given away a state of the art Range Rover as the prize for the winner of the fight.

Bukom Banku who recorded 28 straight wins and 20 technical knockouts assured of his preparedness to beat Ayitey Powers for the second time in a year.Ayitey Powers who also recorded 21 wins (17KO’s) 24 lose (6KO’s) and one draw in his previous fights expressed joy at the fact that Bukom Banku has confirmed his decision to fight.

Dr. Harrison Tetteh, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Joy Industries Limited affirmed that Joy Industries always seeks to promote peace and harmony and that, measures are being put in place to ensure that the fight comes into reality.
