Kevin-Prince Boateng to survive Hertha Berlin overhaul at the end of the season

Ghana forward Kevin-Prince Boateng could be extending his stay at Hertha Berlin for another season despite the club’s decision to let some players leave at the end of the campaign.

The 35-year-old has proven to be a key member of the team under manager Felix Magath following his inspiring role in their fight for survival.

Boateng started the last two games as Hertha secured six points to move a point away from relegation places.

The capital-based club will allow stars Marvin Plattenhardt, Vladimir Darida and Lucas Tousart leave at the end of the season, but K.P Boateng is expected to stay, according to the Bild.

Although, the Ghana international signed a year deal when he joined the club last season from AC Monza, it is reported that the experienced player will sign another contract.

Boateng is a favourite for coach Felix Magath and should he stay beyond the season, the 2010 World Cup star will be a pivotal part of his plans.

Kevin-Prince Boateng struggled with injuries at the start of the season but has recovered in time to champion Hertha Berlin’s survival hopes.
