Ghanaian tactician, James Kwesi Appiah has touched down in Saudi Arabia to take over Sudan’s national team coaching job.
The former Ghana captain and coach has been officially appointed the head coach of the Sudan national team after fruitful negotiations.
The Asante Kotoko technical director is returning to Sudan for the second time after coaching Sudanese top-flight side, Khartoum Watani leading the team to the CAF Confederation Cup qualifiers in 2017.
Coach Appiah has arrived in Saudi Arabia where the Sudanese players will camp for their upcoming international assignment due to the unrest in the North African country.
He landed in Saudi Arabia alongside Ignatius Osei-Fosu and former Black Stars goalkeeper, Fatau Dauda who will be serving as the assistant coach and goalkeeper’s trainer respectively.
Kwesi Appiah is expected to revive the Sudan national team during his tenure.
