“In December, Dubai becomes the heart of world boxing. Athletes will compete under their own flags, on equal terms, with an opportunity to transform their careers. The IBA’s mission is to protect boxers, expand opportunities, and keep our sport a symbol of fairness and unity. The Festival of Boxing will mark a new chapter for global boxing.”
With more than 75 years of history and a legacy of developing some of boxing’s greatest champions, the IBA remains the global authority for elite amateur boxing—preserving the sport’s traditions while propelling it into the future.
The 2025 Men’s Elite World Championships will showcase that legacy, blending world-class competition with cultural celebration and modern spectacle. The event will bring together the sport’s leading nations in a show of unity, talent, and shared ambition.
“The Championships in Dubai will be a celebration of boxing at every level,” said Chris Roberts OBE, IBA Secretary General & CEO.
“Alongside the IBA Global Boxing Forum, a premier IBA Pro Event, and the IBA Congress, this Festival will represent the full breadth of our sport. IBA is more than an organisation—it is a movement built on excellence, innovation, and global unity.”
The Festival of Boxing will position Dubai as the world capital of the sport this December, welcoming athletes from every federation and delivering elite competition paired with immersive fan experiences. Additional programme details will be announced soon.
