Kumasi Asante Kotoko’s MTN FA Cup title defence faces a stern test in the round of 16 after they drew Ghana Premier League (GPL) rivals, Aduana FC following the draw at the GFA Secretariat in Accra on Tuesday.
The defending champions cruised to this stage of the competition following resounding victories over second tier side, Future Stars in the round of 64 and city rivals King Faisal in the last 32.

Aduana Stars on the other hand, advanced to the last 16 after seeing off Berekum Arsenal in the round of 32, having previously eliminated GPL rivals, Bechem United in the opening stage of the 2025/26 campaign last December.
Meanwhile in other ties of the round of 16 scheduled for the weekend of Friday, February 6 to Monday, February 9, 2026, former winners and runaway league leaders, Medeama SC come up against FC Samartex 1996 in another all-top flight clash, same as the Nations FC versus Swedru All Blacks duel billed for the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex in Abrankese.
Other fixtures have 2023 champions, Dreams FC facing 2014 finalists, Inter Allies FC, Berekum Chelsea against Division One League Zone One A leaders, Tamale City as well as Eleven Wonders versus last season’s surprise semi-finalists, Attram De Visser.
Concluding the fixtures to determine this season’s quarter finalists are second-tier side True Life against struggling top league side, Kpando Heart of Lions and Techiman Liberty Youth against ‘Pride of the North,’ Real Tamale United.
