Wisdom Boxing Gym are once again announcing their presence on Ghana’s amateur boxing stage, by entering this year’s championships with the highest number of registered boxers among all clubs.
Originally registering 22 boxers, the team has now been streamlined to a strong final squad of 18 athletes following official registration, medical screening, and weight check-ins.

The reduced numbers have however only sharpened the team’s focus as they prepare to step into the ring carrying one of Ghana’s most respected amateur legacies.
Wisdom Boxing Gym is no stranger to elite amateur success. The club has produced five Olympians and over eighteen Commonwealth Games representatives, a record that places it firmly among Ghana’s most impactful boxing institutions. From James Town to the world stage, Wisdom has consistently served as a pipeline for national representation and international excellence.
This year’s amateur team is proudly sponsored by Ghana Lifestyle, a social media platform dedicated to showcasing Ghanaian talent, culture, and excellence. The partnership highlights a shared commitment to youth development, visibility, and celebrating local potential on national and global platforms.
Head coach, Ofori Asare remains confident heading into the championships, expressing strong belief in his fighters’ preparation and mindset.
“The work has been done,” Coach Asare noted. “This team has trained with discipline and consistency. I believe their effort will show in the ring.”

As the championships begins, Wisdom Gym boxers will not compete as individuals alone, they compete as carriers of a legacy built on discipline, resilience, and national pride.
With history behind them and belief within them, Team Wisdom steps into the ring ready to shine once again.
