The Ghana Football Association (GFA) is working to ensure the Black Stars prepare adequately for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
According to President Kurt Okraku, preparations are already underway in the background to ensure the national team is ready for the global showpiece.
“I think that the team will prepare and preparations have been ongoing behind the scenes, the team will be ready for the World Cup, and I’m very positive that if we get all our players on board, if all our top players arrive safely with us in the US, Ghana will fight for the shirt. That’s what I know,” Kurt Okraku told GFA Media.
He continued, “We have three big games, the biggest game in my opinion is Panama. That’s the biggest game for me, but the Black Stars will be ready. We will be playing home away from home.”
As part of its efforts to ensure the Black Stars adequately prepare for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the Ghana FA has lined up three high-profile international friendlies for the national team.
Ghana will face off with Austria and Germany in March before taking on Mexico in May.
