The drama continues in the 2025/26 MTN FA Cup when the competition enters the quarter-final stage this weekend, March 14-15, with the eight remaining teams battling for tickets into the last four.
Despite the elimination of record winners, Accra Hearts of Oak and defending champions, Kumasi Asante Kotoko, six Ghana Premier League sides remain in contention for the ultimate, with just two lower tier sides still clinging unto their fairytale runs thus far this campaign.
The action gets underway on Saturday at the Ohene Ameyaw Park in Techiman when giant killers, Aduana FC take on Division One League Zone One side, Techiman Liberty.
Aduana stunned Kotoko 4-2 on penalties after a goalless stalemate at the Baba Yara Stadium in the round of 16, whilst Techiman thumped former top flight high fliers, Real Tamale United (RTU) 3-0 at the same Ohene Ameyaw Park where they battle Aduana on Saturday for a semi final slot.
Techiman will also be venue for the crunch all-top flight clash between Nations FC and Berekum Chelsea the following day, Sunday March 15 for a last 4 clash against the winner between Aduana and Techiman.
Nations defeated Swedru All Blacks 2-1 at Abrankese in the previous round, whereas Chelsea overcame high flying Division One League Zone One leaders, Tamale City 1-0 to advance to this stage.
In the other half of the draw which has both matches scheduled for Sunday at the Cape Coast Stadium, former winners, Dreams FC battle fellow top league side, Kpando Heart of Lions in the early kickoff at 15:00 GMT, whilst last season’s sensational semi-finalists, Attram De Visser seek for a repeat last four appearance against two-time champions, Medeama SC at 19:00 GMT.
The winners of the two matches will square off in the semi finals, April 17-20. The finals is scheduled for May 31.
