Ahmed Toure ridicules Hearts defence

Ahmed Toure has indicated that he capitalised on the jittery Phobian defence to punish them on Monday.

The 27-year-old  scored the opener for Kotoko against Hearts of Oak in the first leg of the special friendly games dubbed Super 2 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium and has indicated that the centre backs were contemplating on whom to mark him out.Ahmed Toure4

“The Hearts of Oak centre backs were indecisive about the one to mark me out of the game, so I saw them on several occasions talking to each other about me,” Ahmed Toure told Fox fm.

“This made me felt they were afraid and I took advantage of that to snatch the first goal of the game. The current Hearts of Oak defence is worse as compared to the previous once”

Herbert addo paired Roben Gnagne and Vincent Atinga, who joined the the Oak tree family from Dwarfs at the centreback, but the Ivorian was sent off.

Toure revived his career in Ghana after joining Hearts of Oak in the pre-season, succeeding in scoring a goal against Kpando Heart of Lions in the GHALCA top-4 to secure them a replay against the Kpando lads which they won 2-1.

However he snubbed the Phobians and signed a contract with their bitterest rivals, Asante kotoko.

The Ivorian, who was booed at by the Hearts of Oak fans paid them in their coins by jubilating towards their direction making gestures which didn’t go well with them, but has apologized for such an act.

“I didn’t celebrate with any bad intention. I apologise to the Hearts fans and management for my celebration if it offended them,” he said.
