The national senior female football team, Black Queens, are aggrieved that they are yet to receive their full amount of qualification bonus.
The Queens returned home on Tuesday evening following their elimination from the African Women’s Championship (AWC) being staged in Namibia, but with some of their qualification bonus yet to be paid, the players have developed cold feet over their homecoming.
Reports suggest that the Queens are considering to petition the Justice Dzamfe Presidential Commission of Inquiry to claim the remainder of their qualification bonus, having received $6,000 out of the $12,000.
The Black Queens lost their opening game to Algeria, drew with South Africa and won against Cameroon but could not go through in their group.
South Africa edged Ghana to the second qualifying slot from the group with a better goal advantage over Ghana to secure a slot one of Africa’s representative at the next Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) Women’s World Cup in Canada next year.
