Ashanti region reign supreme at Ghana’s Fastest Human race

Ghana's fastest manKumasi Academy reinforced their resurgence as an athletics force when Emmanuel Yeboah was crowned Ghana’s Fastest Human U-18 at the El Wak Stadium on Saturday.

Tipped as one of the favourites before the race,Yeboah held off stiff competition from T.I AMASS’ Richard Seklorwu and Isaac Botwe of Obrachire Senior High School who finished in second and third place respectively.

In the girls division,T.I AMASS also maintained the status quo as the premier school to beat as Latifa Ali beat Ernestina Ayi and school mate Hor Halutie.

The winners of the competition,sponsored by Standard Chartered Bank ,earned a GHS 3,000 each whilst their instructors were also rewarded with GHS 1,000.

The well attended event,the second of it’s nature was attended by the deputy minister of Youth and Sports,Vincent Oppong Asamoah as well as the managing director of Standard Chartered Bank.
