Braimah Kamoko aka “Bukom Banku” says he is not interested in fighting somebody he has beaten already as he focuses on winning a world title for Ghana.
He has therefore turned down a request to have a re-match with Michael “Amazing” Gbenga who is now based in the United States of America (USA),
According to he undefeated Banku, he has no plans of fighting Gbenga again because there are greater ambitions he has to pursue his career as a boxer.
The self acclaimed king of Bukom Boxing, Kamoko said, “Stop talking about Gbenga, I don’t have his time. I have to move on. I want to fight top ranked boxers on the international scene and not fight the likes of Gbenga”.
Kamoko who also calls himself the African Mayweather in a previous fight defeated Gbenga in 2005 with a unanimous points’ decision and Gbenga has been seeking for revenge since.
Kamoko (28-0, 21 KOs) said the credentials of 36-year-old Gbenga (20-24, 20 KOs), who has lost eight bouts in a row and 14 of the last 15 does not deserve his attention.
“I am focused on reaching the very top. I am aiming for big fights outside that can push me for the world title and not to fight Gbenga after beating him earlier.
