Medeama’s trainer Tom Strand says he was happy with his charges output in their 2-0 home loss to Hearts of Oak last Sunday in the Ghana Premier League .
The Mauves and Yellows suffered their second straight defeat after losing 2-1 in their opening Premier League fixture to defending league champions Ashanti Gold last week in Obuasi.
Medeama against the Phobians dominated play but they failed to put the ball at the back of the net, however, they paid dearly for their profligacy and with 17 minutes to end the game the away side hammered in two goals courtesy Cosmos Daunda and Eric Kumi.
Despite Medeama’s defeat, Tom Strand was pleased with his players output in Sunday’s game against Hearts of Oak in Tarkwa,
‘First I must congratulate Hearts of Oak for the win, though we lost but I was happy with the performance of my boys. I think we played our best game in the season.
‘We came into the game to win but football is full of uncertainties, we have to put the defeat behind us and concentrate our next league game and I’m sure we will come out good in that game,’ Tom Strand said after the game.
Medeama are currently at the 15 position on the log sheet with no point in two games and they will be playing as guests to Asante Kotoko in their next Ghana Premier League game.
