After ending the season without any title and also not been able to qualify for any continental assignments, the Chief Executive Officer for Asante Kotoko Nana Yaw Amponsah believes that in as much as it is very painful for them not qualify to Africa, they must take advantage of it to develop and improve their players and also prepare them for double next season.
In a one on one interview with Kumasi based radio station Oyerepa Fm, the CEO said,
“The cost of going to Africa is not easy and if am to tell you the cost involved in going to Africa last year can provide us with an Astro turf at Adako Jachie and double of what we are doing now and many more.
“We must take advantage of that to develop and improve our squad and also prepare them to win the league and FA cup next season if possible.
“We also need to develop our infrastructure so that we can console ourselves with it.”
The Porcupine Warriors finished second on the 2020/21 league log and got eliminated in the quarter final of the MTN FA cup after going down 5-4 on penalties to Berekum Chelsea just over the weekend.
