Kwabena Owusu scores on Ankaragucu debut in Turkey 1.Lig season opener draw

Ghanaian striker Kwabena Owusu had a delightful debut for MKE Ankaragucu as he scored in his very first match in the season’s opener on Sunday.

Ankaragucu shared the spoils with Tuzlaspor SK in the opening fixture of the 2021/2022 campaign with a 1-1 stalemate in the Turkish 1. Lig.

Safa Kinali put the home side in front in the 18th minute after connecting a pass from Marcus Pedersen.

Ankaragucu drew level on the stroke of halftime with a fine finish by Owusu who was set up by Cem Ekinci.

Owusu joined the Ankara based club this summer from Azerbaijani giants Qarabag FK.

The 24-year-old is expected to lead Ankaragucu’s quest to return to the Turkish top-flight at the end of the season.
