The diminutive midfielder was influential for the Rainbow Boys after his switch from Techiman Eleven Wonders during the second transfer window last season, helping the Phobians win the Ghana Premier League and the MTN FA Cup.

The accolade sees Salifu add to his Ghana Football Awards home-based Player of the Year gong which he collected in July.

Salifu played 33 matches, scoring three times, providing eight assists with eight MVP awards.

The 21-year-old exciting midfielder saw off competition from WAFA’s Augustine Boakye and Hearts of Oak teammates Benjamin Afutu and Gladson Awako.
