Unsurprisingly, social media was awash with exultant Hearts fans, neutrals and Francis Anyebase Afulani came in for heaps of praise on Twitter and Facebook for his stunning organization as the Phobians unveiled their home and away kits for the 2021/22 football season.
The colourful event held at the World Trade Centre was the first of its kind as far as kit unveiling in the country is concerned.
But who is Francis Anyebase Afulani?
Hearts’ New Chief Commercial Officer
Afulani assumed office as the club’s Chief Commercial Officer in August 2021. He reports directly to the Executive Chairman of the club and is tasked to lead the Commercial and Communications team of the club to define and implement strong PR and revenue generation initiatives for the club.

In 2019, Francis Anyebase Afulani made a list of 50 best minds on the marketing and sales field in Ghana. The list was compiled by Avance Media, Reset Global People and Afiba Consulting recognised the works of individuals with a motivating performance, broadening their markets, creating new trends and brand perception, and with an impressive financial performance in the Ghanaian market.
Previous Employers
Between July 2007 and March 2009, Afulani worked as the Brand Manager for Guinness Ghana Brewery Limited. He joined Scancom Limited (MTN Ghana) as the company’s Events and Sponsorship Manager from 2009 to 2011.
He joined Beiersdorf Consumer Products (Pty) Limited from June 2011 to March 2020, occupying several portfolios within this period.
Education
Francis Anyebase Afulani had his secondary education at the Notre Dame Seminary Secondary School, Navrongo, Ghana, and sat for the Senior School Certificate Examination in 2000.
