Former Black Stars defender John Paintsil questions timing of Milovan Rajevac re-appointment

A three-member committee was tasked by the Ghana Football Association(GFA) to search for a new head coach for the Black Stars, and after a thorough search submitted 67-year-old Rajevac as the right man for the national team job.

“If it is true Milo is taking over the job then I will say the timing is wrong because how well does he know this current team,” John Painstil told Angel FM.

“Our time was different because all the players were already made and it will take only a miracle to help him qualify this team” he added.

John Painstil was part of the Black Stars’ team headed by Rajevac from 2008-2010 where he took the team to the World Cup quarterfinals in 2010.
