Liberian match commissioner, Sekou Wieh Konneh has reported referee Martins Rodrigues DeCarvalho over his poor display in the clash between Hearts of Oak and Wydad Casablanca.
The Angolan official has come under heavy criticism following his performance in the first leg of the Champions League group stage qualifier which was played in Accra on Sunday.
Sources at CAF have disclosed that the Match Commissioner filed a formal report to the governing body on Monday.
Wydad who are also unhappy with the performance of the centre referee have threatened to lodge their complaint with CAF and demand sanctions.
Meanwhile, fans of Hearts of Oak were left with a bitter-sweet taste after several calls went against them in the game.
The Phobians were denied two penalty calls in the first half, after Daniel Barnieh was fouled by Wydad goalie and Kofi Kordzi was brought down by a defender in the box.
Hearts of Oak travel to Casablanca this week with a 1-0 advantage ahead of the second leg on Sunday, October 24, 2021.
The winner of the tie will book a place in the group phase of the CAF Champions League.
