Ghanaian forward Gilbert Koomson helped Nowergian giants Bodo/Glimt to thrash AS Roma 6-1 in the UEFA Conference League at the On Thursday.
The former SK Brann hitman came from the bench very late in the game after the damage had already been done on the Italian side as Jose Mourinho was spotted having nightmares in the dugout.
Erik Botheim opened the scoring by the eight minute after latching onto an assist from S. B. Fet. The Norwegian giants doubled their lead twelve minutes later through Patrick Berg.
Although, Roma halved the deficit through Carles Perez on the 28th minute, little did they know that their ambitions to equalise were going to be shattered in a fashionable style.
Botheim combined with Alfons Sampsted to score his second of the day to send Bodo/Gimit’s 3-1 up against the run of play before Ola Solbakken added the fourth goal by the 71st minute.

Things moved from bad to worse when San Pellegrino capitalised on a defensive blunder to make it 5-1 as Mourinho couldn’t believe his eyes.
Botehim capped his wonderful performance of the day with another goal to record his first ever hat-trick in a Uefa inter-club competition.
The striker was played through by Pellegrino and he kept his cool to send a low drive past onrushing goalkeeper Rui Patricio.
Koomson was brought on by the 88th minute to replace Ola Solbakken and the Ghanaian nearly assisted another goal.
Bodo/Glimt have currently gone up in Group C with seven points after the win, one point above Roma.
The two clubs are scheduled to meet once again in a week’s time in Rome.
