Hearts beat JS Saoura 2-0 in Confederation Cup playoff first leg

Hearts of Oak coach Samuel Boadu has named his lineup for the crucial CAF Confederations Cup game against JS Saoura at the Stade 20 Août 1955 this evening.

Regular starter, Salifu Ibrahim has been dropped to the bench due to fitness issues and has been replaced by Agyenim Boateng. Academy graduate James Serwornu will pair Mohammed Alhassan at the heart of the defense.

Raddy Ovouka is yet to hit full fitness and thus the second option, William Dankyi starts on the left side of the defense with captain Fatawu Mohammed maintaining his spot on the right side.

Number one goalkeeper Richard Attah has been replaced in the post with Richard Baidoo due to illness.

Meanwhile, in midfield, Salim Adams keeps his position ahead of Emmanuel Nettey as the anchorman, partnering with Frederick Ansah Botchway and Agyenim Boateng.

Daniel Afriyie Barnieh and Kofi Kordzi lead the attack with Raddy Ovouka operating from the left side of attack to complete the starting eleven.

Hearts of Oak starting lineup:

Richard Baidoo, Fatawu Mohammed, William Denkyi, James Sewornu, Alhassan Mohammed, Raddy Ovouka, Salim Adams, Ansah Botwe, Agyenim Boateng, Kofi Kordzi, Afriyie Barnieh

Subs:

Richmond Ayi, Emmanuel Nettey, Nuru Sulley, Caleb Amankwa, Victor Aidoo, Suraj Seidu, Salifu Ibrahim, Enock Asubonteng
