Ghana Premier League league giants, Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC have formally lodged a complaint against the match officials of their game against city rivals, King Faisal FC at the weekend which ended in defeat, their first of the season.

According to the Porcupines in a tweet, they lodged an official complaint to the Ghana Football Association (GFA) against referee Julian Nunoo and his colleagues over their awful performance in their defeat against King Faisal.

King Faisal handed the Porcupines their first defeat of the season in their match day six fixture at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The match witnessed hugely controversial refereeing decisions, with Kotoko denied what seemed a legitimate goal scored by Cameroonian import Mfegue Georges but the assistant referee flagged for an offside.

Again, the center referee, Julian Nunoo awarded a penalty to Kotoko in the first half after King Faisal player had handled the ball in the 18-yard box but he was called up by the fourth referee Daniel Laryea to rescind his decision which raised an outrage at the stadium.

24 hours after the game, Asante Kotoko have lodged official complaint to the GFA against centre referee Julian Nunoo. Akwa and his assistants, Asst. 1 Kwasi Acheampong Brobbey and Asst 2. Roland Nii Dodoo Addy and fourth official Daniel Laryea for their awful display at the Baba Yara Stadium.
