Tyson Fury has responded to the news that Dillian Whyte has finally signed his contract to take part in their blockbuster bout.
Whyte had delayed putting pen to paper for the fight, which has been pencilled in for April 23 at Wembley Stadium.
However, the Body Snatcher has now signed on the dotted line for the WBC heavyweight title fight and Fury says he is not surprised considering it’s ‘the biggest payday Whyte is ever going to get’.
Taking to social media, Fury sarcastically said: ‘Oh my god Dillian Whyte has signed his contract for $8million.
‘What’s surprise. An absolute idiot. Should this even be a talking point? The man signed for the biggest payday he’s ever going to get in his life.’
The Gypsy King went on to dismiss claims Whyte’s ‘mind games’ had disrupted his training camp by joking: ‘Oh my god my head hurts from all the mind games that Dillian Whyte has been playing on me.
‘Oh my god. I’m so sore. I don’t know whether I’m coming or going. My training camp is a mess.’
Fury also told the 33-year-old that he was going to ‘burst him like a cheap balloon’ during their box office bout.
The Gypsy King said: ‘I am gonna absolutely burst Dillian Whyte like a cheap f***ing water balloon and then when I finish with him, Joe Parker is gonna get him. Because you are useless you big dosser. You useless sausage.’
Whyte had initially delayed signing the contract due to his disappointment over the purse split – which favours his opponent by 80-20.
Regardless of his stance on that, the WBC insisted the challenger had to confirm that he would take the fight today.
If he hadn’t signed, then he would have missed out on a shot at Fury and the world heavyweight championship match he had long been waiting for.
Fury is set to receive around £24m following the purse bid, it is understood.
Mandatory challenger Whyte will secure £6m in his first ever world title bout, which would be his biggest payday.
