The second round of Ghana Premier League began on Friday as King Faisal pipped struggling WAFA 2-1 in Sogakope while Hearts of Oak shared the spoils 1-1 with Legon Cities at the El Wak Sports Stadium.
On Sunday, Asante Kotoko left it late but defeated Dreams FC 2-0 to complete a double over them thanks to Cameroonian striker Etuoga Mbella Frank Thierry.
The win means Kotoko are now ten points clear at the top as second placed Bechem United narrowly lost to Medeama in Tarkwa thanks to a Vincent Atingah late penalty.
Meanwhile, Aduana Stars returned to winning ways as they ended Karela United’s winning streak with a 2-0 scoreline thanks to a brace from Bright Agyei.
