The 2021/22 Ghana Premier league season welcomed another tactician for the second stanza of the season as more managerial casualties continue to pop up across the 18 topflight teams.
The nation’s top tier saw over eight managers losing their jobs after just match day 18 with new tacticians arriving on similar feat.
Last season’s National Division One League Zone three champions, Accra Lions FC, have appointed former Black Stars and Borussia Dortmund attacker, Ibrahim Tanko, as the new technical director.
The new addition is expected to pull the premier league debutants away from the relegation zone after managing just 20 points from the possible 54 points on their maiden campaign.
Tanko’s addition to the capital based side has already seen some positive change in fortunes with a priceless away drawn game at the Ndoum Sports complex.
Accra Lions FC stormed their way to the topflight of Ghana football after shaking off Tema Youth FC in a photo finish campaign at the zonal level.
The Lions joined Real Tamale United FC and Bibiani Gold Stars FC as the new entrants from the National Division One League.
