Ghana international Majeed Ashimeru is in the form of life at Belgian giants, Anderlecht, looking like a rejuvenated player on the pitch.
The enterprising midfielder has become a key cog to Vincent Kompany’s outfit since breaking into the starting line up in February.
Ashimeru’s involvement in the last six games for the Purple and White has yielded positive results with Anderlecht winning 6 and drawing 1 in the process.
He has scored one and provided two assists in the process.
The Ghanaian midfielder has been explosive after taking the place of Swedish player Kristoffer Olsson at the beginning of last month due to injury which has turned out to be a golden move in the battle for the top four by coach Vincent Kompany.
Anderlecht have won more points with Ashimeru (2) as compared to Olsson (1.8).
He is also more often decisive than his competitor (400 minutes) with a goal or an assist every 203 minutes.
Since joining the club last summer from Red Bulla Salzburg, Ashimeru has featured 49 times in all games, scoring 5 and providing 2 assists.
He is contracted to Anderlecht until 2025.
