Ghana’s national football team, Black Stars have began their fine tuning ahead of the first leg of the FIFA World Cup playoffs against the Super Eagles of Nigeria in Kumasi on Friday.
Ahead of the cliffhanger between the two West African giants in the final phase of the race to Qatar 2022, six players have arrived at the team’s temporal hotel in Accra to begin preparations.
Swindon Town goalkeeper Joojo Wollacott who played all games at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations held in Cameroon is in town.
Also, Hearts of defender Dennis Korsah who was given a late call up to replace Reading left back, Abdul Baba Rahman has joined the other players.
Also reportedly already are Reading defender, Andy Yiadom, striker Richmond Boakye Yiadom, Columbus Crew midfielder, Yaw Yeboah and Sheriff Tiraspol midfielder, Edmund Addo.
The team is expected to fly to Kumasi on Tuesday afternoon to continue with the fine tuning before the game on Friday.
The other players are expected in the country latest by Tuesday.
Ghana will travel to Abuja next week for the return leg with only the winner of the two-legged tie earning passage to the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar.
