German giants Bayern Munich sign 13-year old Ghanaian wonderkid

Ghanaian teenage sensation, Mike Wisdom has joined German champions, Bayern Munich from Borussia Monchengladbach.

The Bavarians have been busy adding to their youth team over recent years, and Wisdom is the next youngster on the way to Allianz Arena.

The 13-year-old striker was also on the radar of Spanish powerhouse Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen following his wonderful performance at Monchengladbach academy.

But according to Skysports journalist Florian Plettenberg, Bayern Munich have won the race for his signature after forking out an astronomical €300k for his services.

Touted as an “exceptional talent” in his age group in Germany, Wisdom possesses great dribbling skills and a wonderful electrifying pace.

Bayern’s scout team have been monitoring the progress of Wisdom for close to two years and are impressed with his enormous qualities. Mike Wisdom is expected to play instrumental role with the Bayern Munich’s U15 side from next season.

Borussia Monchengladbach sporting Director Roland Virkus, however, is unimpressed by the Wisdom’s move to Bayern Munich.

In an interview with Rheinische Post, as quoted by Sporf, Virkus said: “Such deals are anything but beneficial for German youth football. I think it’s tasteless!

“We offered him a place at boarding school to minimise travel times.”
