English-born Ghanaian attacker Antoine Semenyo has been named in the English Championship team of the week following his outstanding display for Bristol City over the weekend.
The 22-year-old scored and played a huge role as Bristol City strolled past relegated Derby County at the weekend.
The soon-to-be capped Ghanaian started the attack that led to the first goal before netting the second in the 3-1 win.
He is joined by teammate Chris Martin and Blackburn Rovers duo Darragh Lenihan and Sam Gallagher in the team of the week.
Hull City quartet Brandon Fleming, Keane Lewis-Potter, George Honeyman and Alfie Jones as well as Craig Gardner of Birmingham also made the team.
It was the lanky forward’s seventh goal of the season in the English championship.
Antoine Semenyo has now contributed seventeen goals in the English second-tier, providing ten assists in 29 games.
Injury prevented him from earning his first Black Stars call up but he is expected to be a part of the team in subsequent international assignments.
