CHAN qualifiers: Black Galaxies leave for Abuja ahead of second leg clash against Nigeria

Ghana’s Black Galaxies will leave Accra on Friday morning for the second leg of their CHAN qualifier against the Super Eagles B of Nigeria.

The team led by coach Annor Walker are expected to arrive in Abuja on Friday before Sunday’s game at the Moshood Abiola Stadium.

The Black Galaxies travel to Nigeria with a 2-0 first leg victory. Goals from Daniel Afriyie Barnieh and Seiju Suraj ensured Ghana take an advantage to Abuja.

The winner of the game on aggregate qualifies for the Championship of African Nations in Algeria early next year.

Ghana have failed to qualify for the last three editions of the competitions despite having a good record at CHAN tournaments.

The Black Galaxies have twice been in the finals, losing in 2007 to DR Congo in the inaugural edition before a penalties shootouts defeat in 2014 to Libya.
