Ahead of the fourth edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League taking place in Morocco from 9-23 November, the Confederation of African Football has unveiled a new logo for the competition and increased the total prize money by 52% to USD 2,350,000.

“CAF is committed to developing and growing Women’s Football in Africa and the objective of President Motsepe is to invest in Youth Academies for boys and girls and to continue increasing the prize monies of all CAF Competitions to make them globally competitive and attractive,” the African football governing body said.
Below is the prize money breakdown:
- Winner: USD 600,000 (USD 400,000 in 2023)
- Runner up: USD 400,000 (USD 250,000 in 2023)
- 3rd Place: USD 350,000 (USD 200,000 in 2023)
- 4th Place: USD 300,000 (USD 200,000 in 2023)
- 3rd of the Group: USD 200 000 each (USD 150,000 in 2023)
- 4th of the Group: USD 150 000 each (USD 100,000 in 2023)
NEW LOOK
The new trophy-inspired logo of the competition “symbolizes the tenacity and excellence of African women’s clubs, using the bold colors of CAF Women’s Football visual identity like purple, orange, and pink to represent royalty, innovation, and youthful energy across the continent,” CAF explained, adding that “it is a beacon of pride and an invitation to fans, sponsors, and federations to champion women’s football, promising a vibrant and inclusive future for African women in sport.”
The opening match of the CAFWCL 2024 is scheduled for Saturday, 9 November and the reigning champions, Mamelodi Sundowns will be looking to retain their title.
