Team Ghana ready to shine at inaugural African School Games in Algeria

As the countdown begins to the maiden African School Games in Algeria 2025, Ghana’s contingent of young athletes are geared up to make their mark on the continent.

Scheduled to take place from July 26 to August 5, 2025, this highly anticipated event will bring together talented students from across Africa to compete in various sporting disciplines.

Ghana’s team will participate in 11 exciting sports, including boxing, basketball, cycling, swimming, badminton, table tennis, beach canoe, taekwondo, judo, beach volleyball, and tennis.

With their sights set on victory, these young athletes have been training tirelessly to showcase their skills and represent their country with pride.

The Games will be held in four vibrant cities in Algeria: Annaba, Skikda, Constantine, and Setif. Each city will provide a unique backdrop for the competitions, and the athletes are eager to experience the warm hospitality of the Algerian people.

Team Ghana’s Motto: ‘We Dare to Win’

With their motto, ‘We Dare to Win’ ringing true, Ghana’s athletes are determined to excel and bring glory to their nation. As they take to the fields, courts, and tracks, they will be fueled by their passion for sports and their desire to make their country proud.

The Ghana Olympic Committee have expressed their  full support for the team, wishing them the best of luck in the competitions.

As the nation cheers them on, these young athletes will strive to make their mark in the history books of African school sports.
