The Black Stars returned to the pitch on Saturday to begin preparations for their second Group C game of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against The Gambia.
Carlos Queiroz’s side held a recovery and training session a day after arriving from Bouaké, where Ghana suffered a 2-0 defeat to Cote d’Ivoire in the group opener on Thursday.
The team is now focused on bouncing back against the Scorpions. Training on Saturday involved recovery work for those who started in Bouaké, while the rest of the squad went through full tactical drills.
Ghana will host The Gambia at the Accra Sports Stadium on Tuesday, September 29, 2026. The Black Stars will be desperate to get their qualification campaign back on track with a win in front of their home fans.
The team will continue preparations with a final training session on Monday before the matchday.
