MTN Ghana will bring together about 120 golfers from clubs across the country this Saturday, September 12, as part of activities to commemorate the telecommunications giant’s 30th anniversary.
The MTN 30th Anniversary CEO Invitational Golf Tournament will be staged at the Achimota Golf Course, with the ceremonial tee-off scheduled for 8:00 a.m.
The 18-hole competition is expected to attract a strong field of golfers, with participants competing for honours while also providing a platform for corporate networking and relationship building.

For MTN Ghana, the tournament forms part of a broader anniversary celebration centred on three decades of connecting people, businesses and communities.
MTN Ghana CEO, Stephen Blewett said the event was designed not only to celebrate the company’s milestone but also to strengthen relationships with customers, partners and stakeholders.
“Golf provides a unique platform where competition, friendship and business relationships come together,” Blewett said.
“As we celebrate 30 years, we are delighted to bring our partners and stakeholders together through an event that reflects the values of connection and collaboration.”
The CEO added that MTN Ghana’s anniversary was an opportunity to recognise the contribution of its customers, employees, partners and the wider Ghanaian community to the company’s journey.

“Our 30-year journey has been shaped by the people and communities we serve, and this tournament is another way of saying thank you while looking ahead to the future,” he said.
Beyond the competition, golfers will have the opportunity to interact in a relaxed environment, with the tournament expected to attract business executives, corporate leaders and players from different clubs.
The event will also highlight the qualities associated with golf, including discipline, concentration, strategic thinking, patience and integrity.

With 18 holes standing between the competitors and victory, the Achimota course is expected to provide a stern test of skill and composure.
The tournament is ultimately expected to combine sporting excellence with the spirit of MTN Ghana’s anniversary celebration, offering participants an opportunity to compete, connect and celebrate three decades of the company’s presence in Ghana.
