Ghana win first Olympic medal in 29 years
Duke Ragan (USA) beats Samuel Takyi (GHA) in the men’s featherweight boxing semi-final, 4-1 via split points decision and moves on into the gold medal bout.
But that means Takyi has bronze, Ghana’s first Olympic medal in any sport since 1992!
Duke advances to fight for the USA‘s first featherweight gold medal since Meldrick Taylor in LA in 1984, and its 1st men’s gold medal since Andre Ward in 2004.
