Gruzah: Grant is the answer to Ghana coaching problems

Avram Grant wavesControversial Alhaji Karim Grusah believes that the newly appointed Israeli coach of Ghana, Avram Grant is the solution to Ghana coaching problems in recent times.

The former Chelsea and Portsmouth will be unveiled on Wednesday after, the Ghana FA named him as the Black Stars coach last week and Grusah, who is an an advocate of a foreign trainer for the Stars job, thinks Grant has what it takes to deliver the goods for Ghana.

“If Ghana had appointed a coach in the caliber of Avram Grant as the Technical Director prior to the start of the 2014 World Cup, we wouldn’t have encountered the difficulties we had in Brazil.

“He is a very good coach with track record, so I believe he can succeed as the coach of the Black Stars,” Alhaji Grusah told Fox fm.

The 54-year-old’s immediate task is to prepare Ghana for the 2015 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) to be staged in Equatorial Guinea in 2015, but the Ghana FA hasn’t set a target for him to annex the trophy at all cost.

Maxwell Konadu, who took over the Black Stars job as caretaker coach, guiding the West African giant to two wins, 1 draw and a loss in the four (AFCON) qualifying matches he was in charge, following the dismissal of his former boss, Kwesi Appiah has reverted back to his assistant role to assist the Israeli.

It is reported that Grant would receive something in the region of $ 50,000 a month as salary.
