Togbe Afede rewards Hearts of Oak players $5k each for winning double

Hearts crowned Ghana league champions for first time in 12 years

Ghanaian champions, Accra Hearts of Oak have presented a handsome bonus to their players and technical for their incredible achievement, according to multiple speculations.

The ‘Rainbow Club’ ended the season annexing everything locally having clinched the Ghana Premier League for the first time in a decade and the MTN FA Cup also since it was reinstated in 2011.

It had already been speculated last week that, the players of Hearts of Oak haven’t received any package after winning the league and also have some of their salaries not settled

But fresh report this morning from the capital states, the club’s Executive Board Chairman, Togbe Afede XIV has settled the players with $5000 each, that is to those that featured in most of their matches in the season whiles the other players also took home $3000 for their remarkable double triumph.

Coach Samuel Boadu will very soon reassemble his players to commence preseason in order to gel themselves very well for the 2021/22 football season where they will compete in both the GPL and Africa.

The ‘Phobians’ have been paired against Guinean outfit Club Industriel de Kamsar in the opening preliminary round of the CAF Champions League. Winner advances to the second round to face Moroccan heavyweights Wydad Athletic Club.
