New Ghana coach Avram Grant has promised to do his best for all the national football teams at a meeting with the Sports Minister, Mahama Ayariga.
The Israel coach,accompanied by his agent Rubie Shaif and members of the the Ghana Football Association’s Executive Committee paid a courtesy call on the Minister ahead of his official unveiling on Thursday.
“From the first time i came here, from the airport ,through the drivers,people at the hotel and people in the streets i have seen passion and i like it because i think football is more than football. It can bring joy and happiness to people especially national teams.
From my side i am looking forward to this challenge.I just don’t want to do well for the Black Stars ,I am happy to do well for all the direction of all national teams because i think the potential is here”.
It is a big one but potential is only the base . I am grateful you have given me the opportunity to do this and i will do my best my very best to do it. The fact that I am here means i believe in the potential and in the job that i am going to do.”
Grant will depart for Israel on Thursday evening as he prepares to relocate ahead of a busy next few weeks as the AFCON in Equatorial Guinea beckons.
