Senegal coach Alain Giresse has reacted to the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations draw which placed his team in Group C alongside Algeria, Ghana and South Africa, reaffirming that no team in the lot is negligible.
“It’s going to be very difficult in Group C. Senegal need to be at their best form to qualify from the group,” Giresse said.
“You cannot overlook any of the sides in Group C. Nobody seems to be favourite as anything can happen there. We’ll quickly settle on our list of players and start preparations immediately.
“Secondly, we are concerned about the accommodation conditions in Mongomo, where Group C will be based. We don’t have any information on hotel facilities and so we are very worried,” he added.
The Teranga Lions will open their campaign against Ghana on January 19, 2015 at the Estadio de Mongomo.
