… Meets Ga Mantse Nii Tackie Adama Latse II
American Gavin Brown has met the Ga Mantse Nii Adama Latse to discuss how to put up some developmental progammes and projects in Accra, the capital of Ghana.
The meeting took place at the Ga Manste Palace at Kaneshie where Gavin Brown was introduced initiated as a citizen of the Ga State of Accra, Ghana.
He was awarded a Ga name, Nii Teiko as the preparatory stage for him to be enstooled as a Developmental Chief in Accra.
The Ga Manste Nii Adama who was once a footballer with Accra Hearts of Oak before travelling to the United Kingdom to pursue his education and business said it was a great and marvellous idea for Gavin Nii Teiko Brown to take Ghana or Accra as his second home and create opportunities for Ghanaians.
According to the Ga Manste, Ghana has suffered some recent disasters and it is only international support that can bring back the lost properties. He prayed that the United States of America (USA ) and other countries would support Ghana and Ghanaians with developmental projects in education, health, sports, agriculture, tourism and information technology.
Gavin Brown who hails from Michigan State in the USA promised to lead the crusade to establish a cordial relationship with Ghana.
Emmanuel Quaye, former Greater Accra Amateur Boxing Association Vice Chairman who introduced Brown to Ghana said there are many opportunities for Ghanaians if they would be patient to work with Americans.
As a Businessman, Musician and Sports Administrator he noted that the USA should be Ghana’s biggest and best partner.
The outdooring of Nii Teiko Brown aka Gavin Brown was performed by the Sakumo Wulomo, Numo Ogbamey III, the War Commander of the Ga State and Highest Priest of the Ga Traditional Area. He is also President of the Ga Dangbe Wulomo’s Council.
Among dignitaries who witnessed the event were Odehebi Nii Anyai Yartey, Douglas Tagoe, Nii Ako Faiste, Margaret Bonso, Sheriff Moro and Ben Ankrah also a former footballer now an international Business man.
