Ghana dropped 8 places in the latest FIFA rankings released on Thursday from 33rd to 41st position.
The nation did not play any competitive match between January and February but it did not influence the determination of the global placements.
The drop came with an 85-point decrease in the nation’s points accumulation.
Ghana is now fourth in the African rankings after Cote d’Ivoire-1st (28th in the world on 828 points), Cape Verde Islands-2nd (33rd in the world with 790 points), Algeria-3rd (36th in the world on 746 points).
Senegal, Tunisia, Congo Brazzaville, Egypt and DR Congo and Guinea round the top ten in Africa.
There were no changes in terms of the rankings of the top 18 teams on the planet. Belgium, Argentina, Spain, Germany, Chile, Brazil, Portugal, Colombia, England and Austria were ranked one to ten in that order.
