The budding talented forward has completed a sensational switch to the Chinese League One outfit in the ongoing summer transfer window, Kickgh.com can exclusively confirm.
Accra Lions striker Evans Etti has been signed by Chinese second-tier club Heilongjiang Ice City FC for an undisclosed fee.
The 19-year-old signed a one-year contract with the Harbin ICE Center Stadium outfit after passing a mandatory medical examination few days ago.
Etti was described as one of the highly rated attackers in the just ended Division One League season following his explosive performance at Accra Lions.
He is a dynamic foward: fast, athletic and bright in attack. Although he still remains raw and unpolished when defending, there’s no doubt that the prodigious forward has a promising future.
His ability to charge up and down the forward areas at pace is a serious weapon.
The forward , as a knock-on effect of his excellent performances, has quickly become a favourite among Lions fans, who tend to view attacking talents fondly.
Comparisons with Lucas Podolski, his idol are not entirely unfair. They share the same strengths – speed, dribbling and crossing and a general unpredictability.
Etti joined Accra Lions prior to the start of the 2020/21 Division One League season from fellow second-tier outfit Nkoranza Warriors.
He had an impressive campaign with Accra Lions, scoring ten goals and providing ten assists in 25 matches in his debut season.
Etti played an instrumental role in Accra Lions’ historic promotion to the Ghanaian top-flight league from the Division One League zone three.
His stellar performance earned him a call-up to the senior national team of Ghana for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations double-header qualifiers against South Africa and Sao Tome and Principe in February.
