Ghana winger Osman Bukari on the verge of joining French side Nantes

Ghana winger Osman Bukari is set to join the exciting French top-flight side Nantes in a move that would greatly enhance his career.

The 22-year-old is highly likely to seal the deal with the Ligue 1 side in the coming hours – insiders close to the French club have revealed.

The Ghana international winger is expected to complete a loan deal from Belgian side Gent in the coming hours to represent an upward move in his career after spending just one year in Belgium.

Nantes spotted the talent of the speedy Black Stars winger while he was playing for Gent last season and have made an audacious move to grab the Ghana star on loan before they can make his deal permanent in future.

Bukari has been targeted by Nantes to boost their squad at a time that exciting talents are moving to the French league following the arrival of superstar Lionel Messi at PSG.

September 2020, Bukari joined Gent from Slovakian side Trencin for in a deal said to be worth millions of Euros.

After just one year at the club, the Ligue 1 side have focused their attention on signing the Ghanaian to boost their ranks to face the likes of PSG, Lyon, Marseille and Rennes who have all bought heavily this season

Now Bukari can play together with ex-Gent players Kalifa Coulibaly and Moses Simon. Bukari still has a contract with  Gent until 2023.

His market value is estimated at 3.5 million Euros. In the Belgian Jupiler Pro League Bukari made 25 appearances with four goals and six assists.
